TEAM LIGHTSHIP - THE WORLD’S TOUGHEST ROW
An extreme endurance race where teams from across the globe race for thousands of kilometres across the Atlantic ocean.
The World’s Toughest Row, organized by Atlantic Campaigns SL is an annual rowing race across the Atlantic Ocean from San Sebastian de La Gomera, to Antigua in the Caribbean. This premier ocean rowing event brings together teams from across the globe who spend their last few days on land preparing and helping each other to face the mammoth challenge before them. All have the same objective - to take on the unique experience of crossing an ocean in a small rowing boat and raising money for charity.

WE ARE RAISING MONEY FOR KIDNEY WALES
Team Lightship are using the platform of their ocean row as an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for a charity close to their hearts.
KIDNEY WALES
With Nia having recently donated a kidney to her brother, supporting Kidney Wales couldn't be more relevant to us. There are 93,722 of the Welsh population diagnosed with Kidney Disease. 3,297 of these with Chronic Kidney Disease on renal replacement therapy which includes dialysis, transplant or palliative care. Chronic Kidney Disease is a life long, life threatening condition, there are multiple treatments but unfortunately no cure.
Kidney Wales does not receive any government funding, we rely on the generosity of the general public to continue our life changing work.Thank you for supporting this challenge. Every penny raised will support patients and families living with kidney disease in Wales.

WE ARE RAISING AWARENESS FOR TWO GREAT CAUSES
Team Lightship are using their ocean row as an opportunity to raise awareness for 2 great causes.
ELKHORN MARINE CONSERVANCY
Dedicated to enhancing the resilience and local stewardship of Antigua’s marine ecosystems through restoration, collaborative management and conservation.
Historically abundant and diverse marine ecosystems are declining at an alarming rate, along with their economic and social value. The solution lies in active restoration, collaborative management, and environmental stewardship.
EMC's mission is to enhance the resilience and local stewardship of Antigua's marine ecosystems through restoration, collaborative management and conservation so that future generations have the pleasure of witnessing and reaping the benefits of one of the earth's most valuable yet most endangered ecosystems.
We want to use our row as a way of promoting this cause and to raise much needed money to help them in their mission to protect our marine ecosystems.
ANTIGUA & BARBUDA OCEAN TRUST
The Antigua & Barbuda Ocean Trust is a volunteer-based, local not-for-profit organisation, that supports the conservation of the seas and shores of our twin islands.
Our Youth Eco-Diver Program trains local youth members to become tomorrow’s marine ecologists. We have created a number of community initiatives that are designed to educate visitors, locals and youth. These include an educational card for visiting yachtsmen, a marine conservation program within our youth sailing programs and a safe sunscreen initiative.
Our Volunteer Diver Group consists of experienced divers that will help with a wide range of projects including underwater cleanups, scientific projects, lionfish hunting and becoming mentors for our Youth Eco-Diver Program.
We rely entirely on donations and on the hard work of our volunteers.
